The Czech Republic – now one ski pass only
At our other south neighbors, means Czechs, there are 4500 km of ski runs in more than 200 ski resorts. The most famous of them is certainly Špindlerův Mlýn in Krkonoše (Gigant Mountains) located 2 hours drive from Prague. There are 25 km of ski runs, several T-bar lifts, four chairlifts, and a big snowpark for sowboarders. There are much more places in Czech were you can snowboard.
Small resorts which are worth recommending can be found in Rejdice on the boarder of Krkonoše and Izera Mountains and also in Rudawa where the best Czech U-ramp is placed. An offer was enriched by new resorts in Kouty at Desnou in Jeseníky strip or Skipark Červená Voda in the Orlické Mountains. In some of them like Pecu at Sněžka or Černá Hora you can use one skipass. There are special parks where the youngest skiers can train under the guidance of a professional. The biggest one is in Lipno on Šumava slopes. In Harrachov children can enjoy a castle made of snow and in Kašperské Hory town there is another attraction – snowtubing in a special gutter and slalom with characters from catroons. On 11-15 January in a mountain hamlet Pustevny in Beskid Mountains many artists prepare sculptures made of ice. There is a team of dogs race held on 22-26 of January 2013. If you are bored with all the attractions it is worth to combine skiing and treatment in Mariánské Lázně, Janské Lázně or in Luhačovice wellness resorts.
